Chimpanzee visits are organised by the sanctuary with set times and experienced guides. Access is controlled to minimise disturbance; we include sanctuary visits as scheduled and explain rules in advance.

Most operate year-round but capacity can be limited; some properties have seasonal maintenance closures—MOUTI will confirm availability at booking.

Day 01 :

Nairobi → Aberdares National Park

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel at ~08:00. Travel north through the rich central Kenyan farmlands with a scenic stop at the Rift / central highlands viewpoint. Lunch at Outspan Hotel (Nyeri) or similar, then transfer to an Aberdares luxury property (examples: The Ark, Aberdare Country Club/Treetops-style experience). Late afternoon forest walk (short) or private game drive where available. Dinner and overnight in the lodge among montane forest and giant tree ferns.

Day 02 :

Aberdares → Sweetwaters (Ol Pejeta) / Sweetwaters Tented Camp

After breakfast depart Mount Kenya region toward Ol Pejeta (Sweetwaters). Arrive mid-day for lunch at a private camp. Afternoon game drive at Ol Pejeta/Sweetwaters: visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and view black rhino breeding areas. Learn about Ol Pejeta’s conservation programs from lodge guides. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp or similar luxury tented accommodation

Day 03 :

Ol Pejeta (Sweetwaters) → Lake Nakuru National Park

Morning game activity at Ol Pejeta (early drive or guided visit to the sanctuary). After brunch depart for Lake Nakuru, arriving for lunch and an afternoon game drive that focuses on rhino sightings, tree-climbing lions (rare), and prolific birdlife. Overnight at a luxury lodge near the park (examples: Lake Nakuru Lodge / Sarova Lion Hill or equivalent).

Day 04 :

Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara (transfer with PM drive)

Early morning viewpoint (Baboon Cliff) or brief birding session. After breakfast depart the Rift Valley and drive to the Maasai Mara Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at a luxury Mara lodge (examples: Mara Serena / Mara Leisure / boutique tented camps). Afternoon game drive in the Mara plains; dinner and overnight at your chosen Mara lodge.

Day 05 :

Full day Maasai Mara (game drives)

Full-day game drives (with picnic lunch or return to lodge) exploring the Mara’s varied ecosystems in search of lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and other iconic species. Optional sunrise hot-air balloon & champagne breakfast (pre-book). Enjoy sunset sundowners and a luxury lodge evening.

Day 06 :

Full day Maasai Mara (extra game drive & activities)

Spend another full day in the Mara to maximise sightings and photographic opportunities—visit different sectors of the reserve, track predators or join a guided walking safari in a conservancy (where available). Optional Maasai village visit or private bush dinner at the lodge (pre-arranged). Overnight at the Mara lodge. (This day fills out the 7-day structure and gives a relaxed second Mara day.)

Day 07 :

Morning game drive → Return to Nairobi

Early morning game drive for final sightings, return to lodge for breakfast and check-out. Depart the Mara and return to Nairobi by road (or arrange a scheduled domestic flight to Nairobi upon request). Transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport — safari concludes upon drop-off.
